WORMWOOD
A legendary bitter herb of ancient tradition.
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a strikingly aromatic plant long revered in herbal medicine and culinary history for its intense bitterness and powerful character. Its silvery leaves produce a deeply herbal infusion that has been valued for centuries as a digestive tonic and cleansing bitter.
The flavor of wormwood is unmistakable—boldly bitter, earthy, and intensely aromatic, with subtle notes of sage and wild herbs. Because of its strength, it is often used in small amounts or blended with other botanicals to add depth and complexity.
Traditionally, wormwood has been used to stimulate digestion, support liver function, and encourage the body’s natural parasite cleansing processes. It is also famously associated with historic herbal liqueurs and bitters.
Grown at our farm using beyond-organic regenerative farming practises. Carefully harvested and prepared in small batches by Immaculata Herb Farm, Wormwood is a classic herb for the traditional apothecary—potent, distinctive, and deeply rooted in the history of herbal medicine.
Can be used in tea blends, tincturing, beer and wine infusions, skin care and other botanical formulations.
