ABOUT US
Our work begins with the land and the plants we care for. Each spring, we plant the seeds of the herbs that will become our teas, skincare. Some plants require much tending, others thrive on our distance. Some are ready to harvest in 40 days, others 40 years.
A former tree nursery started by Stephen's grandfather, the farm has been in his family for many years. Growing up here shaped Stephen’s love for the natural world; for sandy soil, for morning dew drops, for the flowering herbs of the forest floor. Today, he brings those passions together by creating products that tell a story, speak a gentle Truth, weave a thread through Creation, and present an offering of peace, love and healing.
A devoted tea lover and student of the Urasenke tradition, Edane leads tea ceremonies on the farm and welcomes guests into a slower, more intentional experience of the landscape. As a holistic esthetician and skincare formulator, she creates products that are rooted in the beauty of God's creation.
Together, and with a small but dedicated team, Stephen and Edane tend to Immaculata Herb Farm—growing herbs, crafting small-batch products, and offering spa services, herb walks, tea ceremonies, and retreats.

HERBAL TEA
We offer an assortment of only the highest quality permaculturally grown, ethically wildcrafted, and certified organic herbs formulated with care based on ancient traditions.
WHY LOOSE LEAF?
Tea bags, while convenient, do not promote a sense of mindfulness which we view as an integral part of the healing magic of drinking tea. Loose leaf tea allows us to directly interact with the herbs on an intimate level and urges us to slow down, act with gratitude and intention, and enjoy the process of making and consuming a simple and profound botanical infusion.
HERBAL POWDERS
Our superfood powders are made with only the highest quality powdered herbs. They are a versatile and easy way to add the nutrient-density and phytochemical diversity of superfoods and super herbs to your daily routine. Our powders can be added to smoothies, blended drinks, tea, coffee or simply whisked into hot water in a similar fashion as matcha. They can also be added to raw desserts, salad dressing, baked goods and marinades for a delicious superfood boost.
SKIN CARE
Our line of natural body care contains only food-grade ingredients that are either certified organic, sustainably wild-crafted or grown using organic practices. They are not only effective but safe for your body & the environment. We never use synthetic ingredients, chemicals or fillers.
INSPIRED FORMULATION
Guided by Saint Raphael, Saint Hildegard, and the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception, our products are prayerfully formulated by founder, herbalist and Laudato Si animator Stephen Hotchkiss, and certified esthetician Edane Hotchkiss with an emphasis on ancient monastic traditions that celebrate the transformative spiritual potency of plant medicine as a means of reconnection to the Creator and Divine Physician.
All of our products are made in small batches at our certified farm facility in rural Bayham Township, Ontario, Canada.
WE GROW
A few of the herbs we actively cultivate/ wild harvest are: Holy Basil, Yarrow, Sage, Pine, Reishi, Lion's Mane, Elderflower, Lemon Balm, Mugwort, Hops, Rose, Lavender, Bee Balm, Linden, Skullcap, Passionflower, Prickly Ash, Spicebush, Red Clover, Nettles.
WE SOURCE
We only source high quality plant material, that has either been permaculturally grown, certified organic, or ethically wildcrafted and never exposed to harmful chemicals or irradiation of any kind. We work with a small handful of certified organic farms, foragers & distributors.
OUR PACKAGING
We use glass jars that are comprised of recycled glass. These are intended to be washed and re-used. Our tea bags can also be rinsed and re-used.
BULK
In addition to using our herbs in our herbal tea and powder blends, we also supply bulk herbs to naturopaths, herbalists, as well as to restaurants, bars, breweries and distilleries looking for hard to find, culinary and medicinal herbs. CONTACT US for pricing and availability.
