TEA TASTING & GONG FU CHA WORKSHOP
There is something deeply beautiful about slowing down enough to truly meet tea.
In our Tea Tasting & Gong Fu Cha Workshop, we’ll explore the art of preparing and tasting tea with intention, presence, and care. The traditional Chinese tea practice, Gong Fu Cha, meaning "skilled in making tea", is a way of brewing that allows tea to unfold gradually; revealing its fragrance, complexity, and character through multiple steepings.
Although we consider any leaf steeped in hot water "tea", true tea comes from the Camellia Sinensis plant mostly grown in China, Taiwan, Japan and India.
In our time together we’ll learn the brief history and purpose of Gong Fu Cha. Learn about the 5 types of tea, their processing and experience the sensory delight of tea by tasting a selection of the best of our private reserve loose leaf teas in an attentive and meaningful way.
This is an invitation to slow down, awaken the senses, and enter into the still, soft beauty of tea in the serenity of our herb farm and nature sanctuary.
Food pairings and treats will be served throughout our session. Please notify us of any food allergies or avoidances.
