Our Organic Pure Criollo Cacao Paste is made from the whole bean of rare Criollo cacao, one of the most prized varieties of cacao in the world. The beans are carefully ground into a smooth, solid paste at low heat that contains both the natural cacao solids and cacao butter—nothing added, nothing removed.

This is chocolate at its purest: rich, aromatic, and deeply complex. Criollo cacao is renowned for its refined flavor, offering notes of deep cocoa, gentle fruitiness, and a soft natural bitterness that chocolate lovers treasure.

When melted into warm milk or water, the paste creates an authentic, traditional drinking chocolate—thick, fragrant, and profoundly satisfying. It can also be shaved or melted into recipes, smoothies, desserts, or ceremonial cacao drinks. Use it with our Cacao Butter to make your own chocolate bar.
