Earth Apple: The Humble Power of Simple Spices

Earth Apple: A Candied Panacea

There's something about the scents and flavors of our Earth Apple herbal tea that feels so cozy and warm.  The blend of elderberries, cinnamon, cloves, chamomile and echinacea is a warming, familiar and comforting blend. It may surprise you that there's not a morsel of apple in our recipe. The root of the word “chamomile” is derived from the Greek word 'chamaimēlon' which means “Earth Apple" -- it is the heart of this tisane and the inspiration for its name.

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla and Chamaemelum nobile ) is a gentle herb which has been used by cultures all over the world dating back to ancient Egypt where the plant was used to treat fevers, as a mild sedative. It truly is a beautifully balanced blend that nourishes as deeply as it comforts.  Elderberries and echinacea offer steadfast immune support, cinnamon and cloves gently warm the body and aid digestion, and chamomile brings a soft, calming tone that soothes the nervous system and invites rest. Lush berry sweetness layered with honeyed floral notes and a cozy spice warmth that lingers like mulled orchard fruit on a crisp day.

We're often told by our friends and family that "Earth Apple" is their favorite tea. It's fair to say, it's one of ours too.  With a touch of honey and your preferred milk, transform this tea into a delicious latte, reminiscent of a warm apple pie!
